Support for Individual Children

Our work to support individual children includes:

  • Observations of individual pupils with SEMH needs and behavioural difficulties
  • Planning meetings with staff and parents
  • Advice and support with individual target setting (IEPs & Provision Maps)
  • Modelling and advice / training individual staff
  • Advice on strategies and use of resources
  • Advice and support on use of behaviour support plans and positive handling plans
  • Advice on timetabling for pupils with SEMH needs incorporating learning/movement breaks where necessary
  • Identifying safe places in school
  • Advice to staff on the use of visual supports such as timetables, task organisers, reward charts
  • Advice and support for running Circles of Friends
  • Advice and support on use of social skills development programmes
  • Creating Passports for use with supply staff/visiting adults
