What children should wear at school

We do not have a uniform. We want our pupils to value themselves as individuals and to develop a sense of belonging in our school through relationships and participation, rather than clothing. We are also aware that enforcing uniform can place added pressures on parents, both emotionally and financially. In addition, for some of our children, uniform has been something they have had difficulties with because of sensory difficulties.

Children wear their own clothes. However, no clothing should display inappropriate images or text. We ask that children come to school with a warm / waterproof coat in cold / rainy weather. We also ask that footwear covers toes and heels for safety reasons and that clothing allows children to take part in our broad, balanced and rich integrated curriculum.
