Dear Parents and Carers,
Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) want to know how well children with special needs are supported in our area and they want to hear the views of parents and carers. Please come to meet them at Robson House at 10 o’clock on the morning of Thursday 14th March. (Click here for more information)
We would also like to remind you of the ways in which you can communicate with us about your child’s needs and progress at Robson House.
Every family has an allocated family mentor who you can arrange appointments with. They will also be able to organise any meetings with the rest of the multi-disciplinary team at your request.
We run monthly parent/carer workshops where we discuss different topics as well as giving you the chance to meet with other parents and talk to the team.
We offer parents termly meetings with teachers, where you can discuss in detail your child’s progress at Robson House.
We have termly multi-disciplinary review meetings about your child, for which we seek your views and those of your child. Parents may attend these meetings or meet with their family mentor following the meeting to gain feedback.
We want all parents to feel they are well informed about their child’s progress at Robson House and this is why staff are also present and available to talk to at the beginning and end of the school days.
If you have any suggestions about how we can improve our communication with parents further, we would be very happy to receive this feedback.
Alyson Dermody Palmer and Darryl Jones (Heads of School)
